Sirius

I am standing in a dark place
Came to know meaning of pitch dark
People scared all around me
But I was there with a vehement
Thinking what is the meaning of scared
It's not because I am not afraid of the darkness
It's not because I am not bothered by uncertainty

Everyone got pacified
As they were able to see me
Even in that darkness,
Since I was glowing like a Sirius

I thought that I was special
Then realized that it was not because of me
I was glowing ,I had something inside me
Which was so radiant ,
I closed my eyes to see for myself
It was you inside me making me glow.

In the darkness, I stood alone Pitch black, like none I'd known People scared, their fear was clear But in my heart, I held no fear

I wondered why I was so brave Why I did not fall to the same grave But then I saw the light in me A glowing power, strong and free

I thought it was mine, a special gift But then I closed my eyes to shift And in that moment, I understood It was a light from someone good

A power given, a love bestowed A brightness in me that glowed and glowed I thanked the one who gave me light And held it shining, ever so bright
